Heart of Ohio Cat Club
Ohio officially has an ACFA cat club! There has not been an ACFA cat club in Ohio for 10 years or more. We are very excited about this club and welcome new members. The purpose of a cat club in any organization is to have cat shows, help promote the club, help promote the organization we belong to, which is American Cat Fanciers Association (ACFA) and some clubs help promote certain breeds. Our cat club is an all breed cat club so we do not focus on a certain breed. Our focus is to have fun with our cats and our families, make new friends, visit with old friends, promote all breeds of cats along with the health and well-being of our feline friends. We want to make everyone feel welcome and part of a "family oriented" club. We welcome all inquires and suggestions. As a member you will get a card that states you are a member of Heart of Ohio Cat Club. We will also have newsletters every six months to keep all members up to date on club news, shows and individual cats that excel at shows. We give member discounts on entries at our shows. Plus we also mail each member an advance flyer for our show. We would love any helpful tips or heartwarming stories, poems or any worthwhile news that cat lovers will enjoy reading. We hope members will help contribute to the newsletter and website with anything that you feel other members would like to read about. If you have a special tip or know something that will help owners as well as breeders we want to hear about it. We will keep track of all cats in our club at shows and give awards once a year for the top cats, alters, kittens and HHP’s. We have a form that you can fill out when your cat goes to a show. When you let us know what wins your cat gets and what shows your cat went to we can keep track of this information in our records. This will help us total all your cat’s points for the show year. This will be our own personal record of how our club member cats do at shows and will not be part of ACFA yearly awards. We will give prizes for top 10 in each category but print top 25 along with the pictures in our newsletter and on our website. This will give members an opportunity to show off their stars and brag a little. As a member we will ask for volunteers for our shows and fundraisers but this is not a requirement. You can spend as little or as much time being involved with the club as you like. If you have any suggestions or ideas for our club or our cat show please feel free to drop us a line. We appreciate all the help we get for our cat shows. It takes money and manpower to have great shows. We want to hear from you.
