Junior Members
This section will include input from our junior members. The age of junior members is up to age 18. It will be hosted by Samantha Rowe. It will feature a question and answer section as well. Samantha will answer any questions related to felines asked by our junior members. Samantha has been showing cats since she was 9 years old. If a junior member would like tips on showing their cat just ask Samantha. She will be more than happy to help you get started showing your cat. She breeds Japanese Bobtails as well as shows them. She hopes to become an ACFA judge soon. She is currently working on her requirements for the judging program. Her Japanese Bobtails have been in the top 20 regional winners and have been ranked nationally and internationally. Many of her offspring have went on to great show homes as well. Samantha has worked very hard to help promote and preserve the Japanese Bobtail breed. At the age of 13 Samantha won best zoology project at the North Central Ohio school district science fair. She also received a superior and was picked as one of the 38 students to go to the state science fair competition and represent her school district. She competed at Heidelberg College in an open statewide science fair and received a perfect score. She was awarded a plaque, a certificate and a savings bond from the Women of Science Society. At state she received the Veterinary of Medicine Award. Her project was on feline color genetics. It is junior members like her and many others that are the future of the cat fancy.
Samantha would love to hear from all the junior members of the club. Her section will feature poems, stories and pictures by the junior members along with helpful hints and the Q & A section. Help Samantha by sending your suggestions and ideas to her. Tell her about how great your kitty is and all of their great kitty adventures. Help her make the junior section great! If there are adults that would like to be mentors for our junior members please let us know. Also if there are junior members who would like to have another junior pen pal that loves cats too let us know. Once we get more junior members we will list all the available junior pen pals with a little bio about each one. Send us your info if you would like to be listed as a junior pen pal.
